Abstract
Our project will serve the families experiencing homelessness in Russellville, Arkansas, with a focus on single parent households and individuals facing chronic homelessness. Rather than attempting to solve homelessness on a statewide level or build new housing developments, this grant proposal is intentionally designed around realistic and measurable services that Joseph’s House can provide within the local community. The project will emphasize rapid re housing assistance, and stronger connections/ availability to healthcare, hygiene supplies, and other essential resources that promote stability. Economic hardship creates significant emotional and physical strain, and stress often contributing to mental health challenges. This typically leads to limited access to hygiene, unstable employment/ job opportunities, and barriers to stable long term housing. Through expanded funding, Joseph’s House will increase the availability of basic needs products, and
4 offer structured guidance that empowers participants to make sustainable progress. Jacob and Vaughn will work directly with Joesphs House to set goals, monitor outcomes, and connect individuals with healthcare professionals and community partners for long term success. This project focuses on achievable, service based solutions that can be evaluated through measurable outcomes such as housing placements, improved access to healthcare, and increased engagement with local resources. By strengthening existing programs rather than expanding beyond capacity, the initiative supports meaningful change while maintaining accountability. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce immediate burdens, and help individuals and families move toward long term independence and stability within the Russellville community. The project also encourages collaboration with local volunteers, and healthcare partners to strengthen community involvement and expand available support networks for individuals in need. Educational workshops and resource navigation assistance will help participants build practical life skills, improve confidence, and better understand the services available to them, ensuring that progress made through the program continues beyond the duration of grant funding. This ensures lasting, measurable impact for participants served.
