Abstract
The purpose of this document is to provide a condensed version of the specialized technical information available from the Bradley and CLIR/NRPB publications, and gleaned from various primary and secondary sources. In other words, this work is strictly a "bare-bones" guide for those persons seeking to learn the basics of the archival preservation of noncommercial audio recordings. It is strongly suggested, however, that one eventually consult the resources listed at the end of this document to gain in-depth knowledge of analog reel preservation.
