NEBO: A Literary Journal
Volume 1, Issue 1 (1983) Volume 1, Issue 1
The inaugural issue of Nebo: A Literary Journal was published in the Spring of 1983. Although a "Letter from the Editor" section was not included in the issue, readers were offered a glimpse of the reasoning behind the journal's name on the inside cover.
Nebo (Hebrew, pr. n.)
- The planet Mercury which the Chaldeans and ancient Arabs worshipped as the celestial scribe or writer. The etymology of the name accords well with the office of Mercury, interpreter of the gods.
- Of places:
- A mountain in the confines of Moab.
